Opening hours
From 16 September to 14 May
10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays

Please note: last admissing to monument 1h before closing time.
The Gallo-Roman site at Sanxay is exceptionally closed from 26 April to 1 May 2025 inclusive.
Closed annually on 1 January, 1 May, 1 November, 11 November and 25 December, and for the first two weeks of January after the school holidays.

By car
From Poitiers or Niort: A 10, exit n° 31, N 11 towards Lusignan then D 5 towards Sanxay
Free parking is available.
By bike
Sanxay is on the Vienne à Vélo and Rando cycle routes.
The monument has been awarded the "Accueil Vélo" label and offers all the services you need to get there comfortably by bike.
Services and visiting conditions
- Possibility of resting during the visit and outside.
- Picnics available on site from May 15 to September 15, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Bookshop
- Suitcases and large hiking bags are not permitted. Small bags (smaller than cabin size) are permitted.
- Animals are not permitted, even in a carrier bag, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind or for assistance.
- Smoking is not permitted in the monument.
